ATF Searching For Guns in Houston : New Disturbing Trend

I Went To the Drudge Report (Who Doesn't) and I Saw the Headline:

"Federal agents hunt for guns, one house at a time"

Well that Got My Attention, and If I was a Nut Job (some might think so) that would be My Worst Nightmare. So Naturally I clicked the link.

The Link took me to the Chron Chronicle with an Article spouting the Same Headline as Drudge, so I began to read. The Story is about how the ATF are indeed going Door to Door searching for People who have "Suspiciously" purchased firearms recently. The ATF Agents are actually going to a Gun Shop, searching the Gun Shop Owners records and then using that info to go to people's houses to "Verify" they aren't selling them to.....Mexican Drug Lords. The Story says they have to do it this way because it's against the law for the Government to compile a list of People..Who own Guns.

Now here is where my "Mixed Feelings" come in...

First, Our Law Enforcement Officers have a Job to Do..and sometimes it requires actions such as is described in this story in order for them to get that Job done. I have No Problem with that......

But......you knew this was coming...

This Problem with "Gun Running" from the U.S. to Mexico could be more effectively taken care of with one Action.....

Say it with me now...

SEAL THE BORDER!!!!!!!!!

For the Federal Government to decide that the Plan of going to a Law abiding Person's Door...Just because they decided to buy 4 Guns in one day.....is a better Idea than Sealing the Border is Stupid..... If the Government was truly Serious about stopping this "Problem" of Guns from the U.S. getting into the hands of Mexican Drug Lords in Mexico then they would Seal the Border..Not waste the Time of Hard Working ATF agents by assigning them the Task of hunting down a little old woman who decided she needed an Assault Rifle...or Two.

This Effort by the Federal Government does reveal the Government's True intentions...

More Gun Restrictions using this "Gun Crisis" as an excuse.....

News Flash to those in Washington....

Seal the Border....

Fix the Problem....
