What is the Tea Party Militia?

I have had some concerned requests to Define what the Tea Party Militia stands for... So here it is...

I came up with the Tea Party Militia in Response to the Reports that keep coming out of Government that say if you are a Christian, Defender of the Constitution, "Right Wing Extremest", Tea Partier, Own anything with the Words "Don't Tread on Me" and "Liberty or Death" on it then YOU are either a Militia Member or a Domestic Terrorist and a Threat to the Country.

Now being the S**T disturber that I am...the First time I read these Reports I immediately went out and bought Don't Tread on Me Decals for all of my Vehicles. I didn't do this because I am a "Domestic Terrorist" but because We Live in a Free Country and I have the Right to Own, Wear, Drive, Think, Talk, Believe Anything, Live anywhere That I Damn Well Please. And if Our Country is turning into a Place where just being a Person who owns a Flag or wants to Defend the Constitution for Future Generations is Considered a Threat to a FREE NATION then I want to know now.....Not later.

The Idea that a Militia Group that is created out of Law Abiding Citizens is a Danger is Nuts. There will always be crazy people calling themselves any number of names....But to take a Great American Tradition like the Militia...and to Vilify it in a Broad General Sense is Wrong.. Heck Without the Militia we would have never defeated the British...

The Definition of Militia is:

A group of private citizens who train for military duty in order to be ready to defend their state or country in times of emergency. A militia is distinct from regular military forces, which are units of professional soldiers maintained both in war and peace by the federal government.

Now a Militia is not only Legal but protected under the Constitution as the Second Amendment States:

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

A Militia is not the National Guard. It is a Group of Citizens that voluntarily joins with other like minded Citizens to come to the Aid of the City, State and Country in Times of Emergency to help keep order and Protect the Constitution.

So does that mean that the Tea Party Militia is a Group that wants to Take Up Arms and Take over the Country...um No.

The Idea behind Joining the Tea Party Militia is so that other Tea Partiers will know that You Get it. That by Joining you are Answering the Call in a Time of Emergency to Defend the Constitution by Standing Up and Being Counted. That is all.....

If someone buys the Shirts and makes it More than that.......well that's on them.

But if you want to Create your own Tea Party Militia Please Feel Free. If you wish to Buy the Shirts I created Please Do and it will Help to Fund not only this Blog but the St. Louis Tea Party Protests as well.

But Remember if you do decide to Be apart of the Tea Party Militia, do so With these Principles in mind.

Honor

Country

And if you Need an Oath Here is one that I Put together from a Few other Militia Oaths.

I "State Your Name" Swear that:

I am an American Citizen, serving with the Tea Party Militia which guards my homeland, state, and the Constitutions thereof.

I am prepared to give my Life in their Defense and in the Defense of My Fellow Tea Partiers.

I will March in Peaceful Protest Always, Come what may.

In all cases, I will endeavor to instruct and inform other Citizens, seeking to persuade them to join the Patriot struggle; urging them for justice and conscience sake to return America to the Constitutional Republic our forefathers envisioned.

I will never forget that I am an American, a citizen of the greatest nation on Earth, Standing Up for Freedom, Responsible for my Actions, and Dedicated to the Principles which made this Country Free.

I will place my trust in God, the Constitution of United States of America, and the loyalty of her people.

So Help Me God

Congratulations..You are Now Apart of the Tea Party Militia.....
